Quad Father’s Day

Father’s Day was just about 2 weeks ago now so I know I’m late but I wanted to talk about my greatest gift. I didn’t actually receive it on Father’s Day but on the Thursday before. This gift was a gift that was too big to come by US mail, FedEx or UPS. It’s kind of funny actually because I … Continue reading

On one hand I’m so grateful for all the progress I’ve made, staying healthy, all the love/support and relationships, etc that have happened over the passed 5 years but on the other hand the frustration and disappointment I feel that physically I’m … Continue reading

iQuadits: Instababs Evolved

I’ve talked about instababs in previous entries but basically, instababs are photos that you edit using multiple smart phone apps to make the picture look cooler than the original. The new resulting picture is called an “edit”. For me instababs started out as just entertainment or a therapeutic recreation activity to pass the countless hours sitting in my wheelchair. Now … Continue reading

The Bittersweet Walk

You know I really enjoy my afternoon walks with my son Jaxon, but they are truly bittersweet. The Sweet On the one hand I am thankful that I have the ability to take him out on walks by myself, that in itself is a big deal under the circumstances. We stroll around the neighborhood scoping out the neighbor’s decorations, nature, … Continue reading

Freaky Lady

Last weekend, we went to Atlantic Station to see the new Monsters movie with the boys. Afterwards, we decided to take the boys on the little train ride. As we were waiting for the train 2 ladies and a little girl came up to ride the train. I stayed behind with stroller and so did one of ladies. We start … Continue reading

Day 3 of Day Program

Today I got over my new fear of flying! After my accident I was just like I’m not even trying to travel at all really, but I’m definitely not going to fly. Well today as a part of Shepherd’s therapeutic rec program we took a trip to the airport. We went through security and actually boarded a plane. My wife … Continue reading

Day 2 of the Day Program

Today was a much better day! I met with my old PT and we got in my manual chair. It went surprisingly well, no great! My balance was good, I was able to do a forward pressure relief with out assistance and my shoulders were strong. My PT could not believe the progress I’ve made. Her quote of the day … Continue reading
